Course Description

We have brought together infection prevention and control compliance consultants for a town all style presentation that will answer the most common questions about COVID-19 as it relates to dental practices. Consultants will review new recommendations from the CDC for screen patients, PPE requirements, and managing product shortages, as well as protecting patients and dental teams from aerosol and droplet contamination. Additional topics that will be discussed include hand hygiene, disinfectant selection, importance of practice protocols, and how to know what the current recommendations, directives and regulations are and how they apply to dentistry. The webinar will be presented in a question and answer format, with time for live Q & A as well

Course Objectives – upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Identify the appropriate types of PPE required when performing emergency treatment for patients in place.
  • Differentiate between emergency and elective care for dental patients
  • Develop a practice plan for additional patient screening
